Multi Specialty Hospital
A multi speciality hospital is envisaged to be made operational in Uttarakhand by 2013 Architectural plans are being drawn up for a 96 bed hospital which would be developed in three phases with the first being a 24 bed hospital.
The hospital will mainly cater to the needy in the surrounding region and personnel covered under ECHS and CGHS schemes.
The hospital will be developed with latest state of the art equipment and associated laboratories for providing timely and efficient healthcare to the needy population of Uttarakhand.
The hospital would have permanent resident staff as well as visiting doctors to cater for all ailments. Towards this, retired Defence doctors have shown lot of interest in participating and rendering their services.
Mobile health care units will form an important link between the general populace of the region and the hospital.
Since prevention is always better than cure, health prevention and promotional camps will be organised in the region on a regular basis. The hospital will be modelled to provide the following services:
- Out Patient Department
- Emergency Unit
- Intensive Care Unit
- In-patient facility(initially 24 beds increasing to 96 beds)
- Laboratories
- Telemedical Nodal network
- Mobile Healthcare units
- Healthcare camps to cater to rural healthcare needs
- Health awareness camps to educate on preventive health care
